You do the same motions with powershifting, I am not sure what is so hard to understand. The fuel/spark stuff is transparent and has no effect on the gearbox/shifter.

what your not getting....is EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS! lol

Its the same motion and same **** as powershifting. My 1st post said that NLS had nothing to do with his shifter link cable breaking, but instead just slamming the shifter around like a cheating *****. shift linkage breaking is due to rough shifting but has nothing to do with weather or not you take your foot of the gas when you shift

It looks like we've got two convos going at once here and everybody is unsync'd.

Topic 1: About shift linkages breaking... What Gestpo007 said... a product of any hard shifting no matter NLS or not. If you're slamming it, you can break it.

Topic 2: About if NLS is hard on your engine. Well, it's not good on your engine/tranny, but maybe not quite as bad as if you were powershifting any other car without the ECU algorithm.

...And yes, you are correct. WOT = Wide Open Throttle. It's anytime you've got your gas pedal floored.

haha
but the thing is that if you let out to the clutch too fast and the car is not fully in gear, that could also cause a problem because the gas is pegged to the floor, clutch is out, and your jerking the car in gear.

WOT? Heee... I prefer WAO shift. Same thing tho. No Lift **** works when I get my **** together. My problem is UN-learning 40 plus years of no-throttle shifts.
The few times I've got it right No Lift Shift is fun as hell. I love that little POP ya get when you shift. My $.02.
