1st and reverse problems or driver poo poo
just wondering if anybody has had problems with there manual getting there car into 1st and reverse. most of the time with i shift theres no prob, until i stop at a light-put it in to neutral and wait, green light comes and i feels like i am forcing it into 1st gear-same goes with reverce, but i figure i wasnt pushing the stick over enought. thats is the only prob comes once i stop. could it be she needs more time to be broken in still? rather stiff-got over 8000 miles. have an oil change appointment this friday-if there is a prob i can have them take a look at it then
-thanx for the help

Lately particularly in the mornings I've had issues getting it into reverse...it's maybe 1 in every 5 starts or somethin' but I never had this before. The quickest solution I've found so far is to go to first then back to reverse. What's strange is I used to have this problem a lot in first gear and now it's pretty much alleviated itself...I've come to the conclusion my tranny has a mind of it's own and picks a gear at random to be a pain in my ass .

I sware to you like every othere time i put my car in to reverse i cant get it in (not a personal problem) but once i get it in it grinds badly when going in and i have the cluch in all the way so i have no idea wat the problem is.

same here with first when i get a green light....sometimes it takes a few trys and people honk at me. reverse is sparatic...like maybe once a month...usually the first time i start the car in that specific day.

This happens to me everyonce and a while. All I do is let off the clutch, push it back in and then throw it in gear. I'm guessing its the hydrolics that might need pumped to build up pressure. I usually pump my clutch 3 or so times before i start up.
