2007 SS/SC Broken Left Axle
I broke my left axle from a 2300rpm launch. I know that wheel hop is part of the problem, but what can i do to avoid this from happening again?

OK you need to get trans mount inserts, a motor mount, (Skip the ETD its a POS) And CABS and you will have no wheel hop on the street and only a small amount on the track.
If you are looking to get rid of the last little bit on the track then get some 17s or 16s and better tires.
The stock tires are one of the big problems. Along with the heavy stock 18s.

are they replacing it under warranty? if not might as well spend the extra cash on the driveshop axles (INTENSE sells them)

Ok, sorry it has taken me so long to reply to all the posts.
I was not running DR's, yes I am bone stock, and it was covered under warranty.
But thanks for the inputs and I will get some mounts and be good from what everone has said.

Mounts ETD and as your vehicle gets older look into axels. Also PRACTICE saves parts and helps eliminate wheel hop. A lot of wheel hop is due to bad driving. I see you had this happen at only 2300 rpm so I dont think thats the issue here.

Well my first 2 launches we from idle and the first luanch was ok, but i almost stalled on the second, the third I launched from 2300 no prob except mad spin till half way through 2nd and the fourth run I launched again from 2300 and then next thing I know...... SNAP!
Now where is the best place (as far asa price) to get these mounts and will it void the warranty?

Mounts can be looked at as an issue at some dealers but if you know what you are doing nothing should cause issues. I would go with the Ingalls ETD due the fact if you need service at the dealer you can remove the Ingalls ETD in a matter of minutes. Lets see mounts be switched out that fast.

I would go with the intense inserts. They dont have to be removed to go to the dealer as they will never even notice there there and they work about 5X better then a TD could ever hope to.
My Dealer has had my car on there lift several times sins I put my inserts in and they never noticed them. Now if you brake the trans I would take them out but if your going in for like an oil change like me they will never know.
