ACT clutch release for Cobalt SS/SC
Hey all,
ACT just released their line of clutch kits for the Cobalt SS/SC. Mine got shipped out today and should be arriving later this week and so I will be keeping all posted on the install, what all comes with the kit, and how the clutch feels and how well it holds.
I am getting GM11HDSS which is the heavy duty street disc setup.

I own a shop lol, I worked directly with ACT and Im receiving mine on the very 1st shipment to come from ACT, I.e. the shipment immediately before release to sale.
All of it can be verified, my contact at ACT is Ryan, I can give you the phone number I used to contact him. If you want this number, contact me thru PM, I will not post it publicly.
Ill have pictures of the clutch set when it arrives at my house on monday. part # is GM-11-HDSS
Unfortunately, since I am receiving mine at wholesale cost I cannot reveal the shipped price, MSRP from ACT will be in the low to mid $800 region.
I will definately be posting a review of ease of install and of feel short term and long term.
Since I am not a vendor here, please do not ask for me to sell these on this public forum
if you are local to the DFW area and want to discuss these clutches in person or see what they are like/feel, you can contact me thru PM and I will try to set up sumthing to where you can see it in action. I spend a lot of time @ the local tracks i.e. Motorplex, Crandall, 7 points, I also visit regal row and the pioneer & 360 races.

My shop is near corsicana, its about an hour drive from arlington, Im in arlington all the time though lol,
the kit includes:
flywheel
clutch disc
pressure plate
alignment tool
u can google the part number and get the release announcement and what the kit includes. there are 6 kits available,
2 are organic clutch sets
4 are puck style clutch sets

Im unsure, I havent discussed a complete kit for the 2.2 or 2.4 since I have an LSJ, but I can ask them I will have an answer pertaining to that probably next week
Im sorry the pics havent made it up yet, received the kit and they failed to send me the flywheel, so Im still awaiting it, I will be getting pics of what I do have and posting them up, and of course once the flywheel comes in I will be adding pics of those and of the install.
I spoke with a few associates at ACT and the few that had the opportunity to drive the test cars before and after stated that the difference was like nite and day. So Im excited and ready.

these are for 05-07 cobalt ss/sc only is what the listings are showing, I can contact ACT and let you know whats up, I maybe able to get you one, pm me and ill let you know whats up, with your car info yr, trim, etc.

billet steel flywheel, more structural strength than aluminum, lighter than stock though, itll be a while until I can do the install, need a new tranny now, holes in the bellhousing is never good
