auto to manual
is it possible to make the auto to maunal conversion? i've seen the threads bout it but never any real answer bout it actually being able to be done..

well i was thinkin bout finding one at a junk yard and trying to get all the parts that way then taking it to the dealer to have it put it.. thats the only way i see to do it with out having to spend a lot of money on it..

I dont even think it's possible unless you had an exact replica of your car.
They'd have to transplant shift assembley, pedals, pcm (and possibly bcm), transmission, clutch, flywheel, all of that stuff.
It'd be 1000 in labor alone, and over 1000 if you even just got the parts from a j-yard

i posted about this before. you wouldnt need to swap the pcm, just get hp tuners and shut off all the automatic transmission functions. you cant just swap a manual pcm in, the vehicle wont run. the pcm has the vin number flashed into it and if it doesnt match the vin in the other module the car doesnt run. gm also cannot change the programing to a manual, once a vin number is asigned auto or manual, its not changeable by gm.
