Automatic Ratchet/Console Shifter
Anyone find one that works with the cobalt yet?
I know halfcent said there was one mentioned in the build book but yet to see anything from hurts on it.
So let the hunt begin!

Slap/ratchet/bang shifter would only be eye candy in the 2006 and up automatic Cobalts with the L-I-D shift pattern. You have practicaly zero control of the tranny's shift points so a Slap/ratchet/bang shifter wouldn't work like you want it to.
If you have a 2005 with the 1-2-3-D pattern maybe it would work -- I don't have any experience with these.
Anybody with a 2005 auto -- do you have control of the upshifts with your stock shifter?

correct, but with all of em u have controll, u have to know how to use it..... 1 or L = first gear until 6500 then shift to second and lock in second........ 2 or I(sport mode)=1 to 2 gear shft is normal, 2nd gear shifts to third at 6500 and locks into 3rd(direct drive) eliminating overdrive.... so with the ratchet shifter u go from 1/L and when u hit second gear, shift to 2/I, then you will hold your third gear, and then at the end of a race push it into D before letting off gas to refrain from overworking the tranny
