axle is done, need advice
I snapped my driverside axle at the track today. Wheel hop wasn't too bad. I have front and rear tranny bushings and traction bars. What else is their for wheel hop eliminators?
I was just wondering where you guys are getting your replacement axles. I search around but I can only come up with the 800$ stage 2 ones which I don't want.

2. rotate the motor . I have a mount solution which doesnt vibrate that fixes hop but at the moment am not actively selling it. That means i dont care if I do or dont sell it, but it does fix hop by aligning the axle shafts output to input.
3. Check your flca mounts. The ride bushing ( the rearmost one on the front lower control arm) tends to yeild and break up internally
4. wheel hop snaps axles
5. do you have 300+ whp?
hope this helps usual disclaimers

1: I was only planning on replacing the broken 1 but I didn't think about doing ti with a stage 2
2: do you tip it forward like in the build book?
3: I'll check all the bushings
4: Yes but this was very mild compared with some of the wheel hop i've had in the past, so it was strange to me that it broke.
5: yes
No, I should be able to do it alone with the rest of the teardown this month.

S2 axles recently dropped a bit in price.
well worth the upgrade. some of our wheelhop issues are supposedly caused by distortion in the axle.
plus, you can then run slicks and drop 3-5 tenths off your time

I might order a spare set this week damn.
I have the original ones (yes the first pair) that were originally on rob's (fast06ss for the veterans) and they are still holding up rather well with at least 60 passes on them so far from me and countless other runs from him.

Sorry to hyjack the thread, but i looked at the axles and thats a good price, but i also seen their control arm bushings for 79.99 for the pair. Whats everyones opinion on those. Might order a set of the axles as well for that price.

already said above. but most people find that they crack and fall apart, making them worse than stock after a while.

sucks JC, hope you get it fixed and running soon. I was surpriesed i pulled a 14.4 @ 98 with a 2.3 60' with full audio equiment in the trunk haha. We got a vid of me racing dana, destroyed him off the line...1-2 cars but he reeled me in and beat me 14.4 to my 14.5 not bad for a 2.2L vs a 2.7 meth injected 2.0

1: I was only planning on replacing the broken 1 but I didn't think about doing ti with a stage 2 : so do it lol
2: do you tip it forward like in the build book? sure i did thats where it all began3: I'll check all the bushings good plan
4: Yes but this was very mild compared with some of the wheel hop i've had in the past, so it was strange to me that it broke. thats because it was previously hurt you didnt know it and it gave up.
5: yes:So best solution, pony up the bucks and fit LNF axles and hubs. They are way stronger;the tooth count for the wheel bearing may not be the same as your car so that would screw that up with no easy fix. Other than no abs.
So back to square 1. Replace one axle the broken one with a stage 2 if its stiffer that will be better for you. You still gotta rotate the motor no matter what. My latest solution I sent to Shabodah to try he has it installed and i am waiting to hear what he found. its cheap, its easy and changes just one mount

thats because the joint has to articulate in and out as it goes up and down. Poly cant work. Junk. Needs a spherical joint or replace the Fe5 part (the whole arm) periodically. My solution is expensive and lasts for ever if maintain them and you dont drive in salt and rain....
