B&M short shifter help

Well last night i installed my B&M marked out the lines and everything, each gear feels smooth to shift into but 5th. I need to lift the reverse lock to get it into 5th and even when i do lift it its hard to get into reverse. This is my first time installing a short shifter so im new to it any help is appreciated.

I had to file on the lockout a little bit to give it more clearance over the factory piece when going into reverse. If you take your boot off and look where the lock out is at when you pull up onit and go to put it into reverse you will see where its hitting.

Look at where the cables are run to the bottom of the shifter, note the one that moves when you move the shifter left and right only. Unlock the plastic tab and adjust it so the shifter travel is slightly more to the drivers side of the car. Takes about 15 seconds to fix and no grinding or filing is necessary.

Could you or some please post some pics of where the plastic tab is?

Its the tab you have to unlock to remove the shifter cables from the stock shifter.

Thanks. It also works badass too. I think I may need to readjust my cables when I get home because 3rd is rough to get into sometimes, but I love it. Oh, if it's hot where you guys are at I suggest a baby sock or something to cover the knob. It gets hot a ***** in the sun.
