Blown Trans?
Just asking for a second opinion on my car.
I don't have 1st, 3rd, or 5th gear. Works in 2nd, 4th, and reverse just fine. I had a TWM cable clamp on the car for awhile now and never had any problems.
So just to be sure I tried adjusting the clamp and no luck there.
Then I jacked the car up and popped off the cables and tried switching between 3rd and 4th gear and all I could get was 4th.
so I'm just thinking that it's done and it's time for a rebuild or at least a salvage trans.
car has 69k on it and don't ask me how or when it happened. I work out of state so it sits in my garage unless my folks stop by and take it out.

I'm not sure. I unhooked the cables on both ends and tried it and couldn't get it to engage in 3rd by moving the lever off the top of the trans so that's why I'm thinking something internal. So far I'm just thinking about pulling the trans and opening up the case. If it something internal does anyone know where I can order parts besides a dealer? I tried looking it up on google and didn't have much luck.

its a linkage problem, dont bother pulling the trans, at least not yet. if you unhooked the shift cables and you could get it into 1st and 5th, im sure 3rd was just not lined up and somebody stepping on the clutch would have got it to go into 3rd. my guess is either a broken roll pin in the linkage on the trans (not common for an sc but its possible) or a broken cable.
