cant get axle off shaft

I tried to remove the passenger axle and it wouldn't come out so I went ahead and removed the shaft and pulled the whole thing out so I can get the axle out of it easier. But it just wont come out, am I missing something here, I tried hitting it with a hammer to come out the shaft but didn't work.

Ok I got it out with a blow torch lol. Passenger side now installed. How do I know if the driver side is in right, is the larger diameter at the end of the axle suppose to be pressed up against the other end, if u know what I mean.

Okay you see the aluminum ring DO NOT BREAK THAT MOTHER ******....

I couldn't get the intermediate shaft out of the axle. Only replacement I could get was at the dealership and that's 325$....

^ I was hammering like a mother ******...still wouldn't come out

I use a press and some heat. Its not easy. I carry spares in the shop. The 04 redline uses that shaft as a vss so its even more important. Lubrication and maintenence is so important, but there are no books saying to pull, inspect and lubricate every year or so....
