cavy STS

Ok so I just bought this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=280271686804

Does anyone know the thread size? I would like to put a TWM knob on it like this one:

P.S. yes I tried a search got nothing that answered my ? also I just follow the same how to for the twm sts to install it correct?

prolly would have been better off cuttin ur stock shifter in half

twm shift knobs are expensive. if you're going to spend that much on a knob you should have just gone all out and bought the twm shifter as well. i have one and i love it.

I spoke with twm before, the shifter will work but there will be slight modification needed, not exactly the same as theirs.

now i was under the impression that cavy/sunfire shifters will not fit in the cobalt. CC08, you might have bought something that wont fit on your car.......

If you dont have to do any cutting its not likely to actually shorten your shift throws a great deal.

The reason you have to cut on the TWM is because the shift control rods are longer. Longer rods with the same pivot point is what shortens the throw on the TWM.

I wish TWM made a stock height shifter. I dont want my stick shorter.

should had gotten the twm short shifter if i was a manual i would have gone with them nice product

I have the same shifter, Its jsut as solid as my buddys twm...people need to get over the "if its cheep its crap" thing follow teh TWM instructions, you cut the same peice. Mine shifts like a dream.
