Cluch warranty

Idk if its me but a few people on here think that the clutch is underwarranty and can be replaced if not working like new. That is not true correct? When i got my car they said the clutch wasnt under warranty because its how you drive it. Am i correct or not?

my dealership claims that "wear and tear" parts like brakes and clutch have a 11,000 mile warranty. had the rotors replaced on my last car because they warped after like 7k miles, and had my clutch replaced in my ss/sc at 8k miles.

My dealer said 12,000 on the clutch. Mine is slipping (i suck at driving) and i'm at 8000 so i'm having mine replaced under warranty soon.

the lowest quote i had on labor only was $550. most places want about $600.

i went through a clutch in 8k miles becuase i hadnt driven manual much before and i was pretty hard on it learning to drive and driving it hard.

A mechanic who works with me on the Fire Department said he would install a clutch on my car for $400.

But I'm holding off 'till the weather gets nicer and I feel like having the dealer take a look at our SC's lousy piece of crap slipping clutch (I've only got 5.5 k on my car).

My dealer does all the work on my car, and from servicing my car he can see that I'm an an adult who knows how to drive and who doesn't beat on his vehicle. Because of this, the Service Manager was VERY eager to try and get it repaired under warranty.

Otherwise, I'll just put in an after market clutch in late Spring/early Summer and be done with it ...

im having a problem too. my car is barely holding gears its so bad that its sitting in my driveway. my dad is a tech for gm and hes trying to get it replaced as well but since its wear and tear its a pain in the ass. im trying to see if its worth buying the part from gm since my dads putting it in or just buying an aftermarket.

How bad is yours slipping, frank? The only way I can get mine to slip is if I hammer the throttle before the clutch is out all the way (i've done it on accident a few times). Otherwise the clutch grabs really hard. I'd like to see this clutchslip in person, and compare driving habits as well. It just doesnt make sense why a car with 7k is having clutch issues unless the clutch is a complete piece of ****.
