I was charged yesterday $524.33 for a clutch/flywheel install. That included 6 hours of labor, tranny fluid and shop supplies.

the dealership refuses to do it for me :-/. I am going to take it to either Pep boys or this other places near me called Auto transmission clinic. Hopefully they one of them can give me a good price and do it right.

instaling a new clutch on a fwd car is never easy. You can't always just drop the transmission like on a rwd. Most of the time the axles have to come out to give way to move the trans. This is also a new trans by saab and is very different than the other transmissions I have worked with from GM. I would recomend having it done. Unless you are like me and are extremly mechanicly inclined, you like cut and brused hands, have no problems curseing and like to ruin your weekends. Just my thoughts on it. I would not doit myself and I'm a GM cert. mechanic!

I might be looking at getting that Spec 2 clutch installed (no problems with the current factory clutch, but just want to get info just in case), so the median price for install is around 400-500 dollars + cost of clutch?
