Exedy Clutch installed (a few Pic)
The bad news
8 hrs to install for the first time is no joke.
About 50% of one bottom bellhouse bolt hole broke on install :/ The bolt was still bolted to the remaining threads. The remaining bellhouse bolts are in without a hitch though. I'm just worried that is just going to rot away after awhile.
Lost speedometer and power steering. Speed sensor probably came loose :/ Easy fix.
The good news
It grips like a monster.
Shifting glides better than stock
Open for questions.

Rock on man, lloks like a sweet clutch
If you can get to where that bottom bolt broke off you should be able to extract it. Depending on how much room you have there a couple different ways, but I would try to get it out and replaced with a proper bolt if you can. You'd probably be okay to run it like that for a while, but ya never know, right?

Shifting effort I noticed is smoother than stock. I definitely glide through gears now. My engagement point seems closer to the top. At least thats when my car starts to move. It may actually be really close to the floor, because unless I really stomp on it till, I have a chance of stalling. However, that was just first few miles and that just may be me getting using to the increased pedal effort. Its definitely harder, but not undriveable. I haven't driven it in much tarrfic yet, but after getting the feel for it, I'm sure I can manage. The clutch grips well and I feel like I'm actually transferring a bit more to the wheels.

Nope, sorry, no pics of the tranny.
I can take pics my old clutch and flywheel... I think I will.
Yeah, I'll report back on the shifting when I put a few more miles on it to break it in. I'm also going put some royale purple syncomax in monday.
I should have mentioned that I really don't notice a difference between flywheels even though this one is 10 lb lighter.

i know from hearing about other clutches the engagement point is really close to the ground, id rock this clutch since this is my daily driver, i like the stock engagement point and if this clutch was similar that would be a bonus, keep us updated.

Broke it loose just a moment ago. I now wheel hop in 2nd. haha, i need those trans mounts now, just the engine mount isn't cutting it.
Let two friends drive it: one that owns a cobalt ss/sc commented that the engagement point is pretty much the same location as stock and I agree. My second friend commented that the engagement is much quicker and I definitely agree.

god news, so no issues with it not goin into gear or anything silly like that, when you go wot in first second and third that will be the true test to as how the good the clutch is and if the install is done correctly, 9/10 people it seems have had issues with aftermarket clutches and when its my time i want 0 issues.

someone correct me if im wrong but i was told the new flywheel has to be machined to factory specs and once that is done the point the clutch engagment is back to the way it was stock and the amount of force to engaged the clutch and disengage it is back to stock

Are you talking about resurfacing? If so, you only have to do that if you're replacing the clutch only. Since the exedy came with a new flywheel, no work is needed.
