These are the ring gear and shaft, list prices are over $500 for the pair.
12571819
12571821
Theres a seal and a lube guide youll need. maybe $30
You may also need the differential itself about $225 list
12571822
If you need the diff itself youll also need new bearings to the tune of $247 list
93334162(x 2)
And of course theres labor......with the trans out of car, Id say anything under $400 labor would be an absolute STEAL of a price.(expect to see figures hover near $600us at most shops)

haha, so I guess I should just keep an eye out for a salvage trans.... But thanks for the info anyway.
If I found a complete trans, would I be able to just swap the diffs? I'm wondering about the axles...

ok, thanks. i still need to get the books for my car. then i can look and see how do-able/ cost effective it will be. its starting to sound like more of a pain in the ass then its worth. will i need a hot plate for the gears or can i get them on without one?

A hot plate and a freezer make assembling the shaft easier, but you still need a press, and you MUST have a press to disassemble it, 3rd and 4th gear are TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT press fits.
