f35 tranny issues. i hope i have part of the fix....
Ok so we all know third gear is our (shi* wtf happened gear). Shaft shooting out the tranny casing..... my idea is to weld a block of aluminum onto the casing in the spot where the shaft (gear) usually shoots out. The engineering part shows the carrier for these shaft being really screwed. not enough casting to hold power or force from shifting. Real thin.........
This is the reason it shoots out. I've talked with a gm warranty rep and he said the same thing. Getrag makes our trannys to gm specs. Or is supposed to, but in most cases does not. So I will try this and see wut happens. This car is on its third tranny for he same issue.
Illl keep u informed on results.

First off zrated shut ure mouth and think before talking.. all the specs I got were from gm. Oh and I see u do road courses huh.. well come up here and show Me how to drive. ... oh wait ill prob end up showing U how to. I did not start this thread for **** talking, or a idiots opinion. I can care less if you do circuit, or wutever else u do. This last tranny blew while it was in gear just driving. And I am the second owner. Gm said the tranny was built by getrag. and if it is not I would like to know who built them so If u can show me who built it, thanks. But if not shut ure mouth and stay out of the thread. The casing breaks because the extra torque put to it. And also shifting like a idiot. To much stress on the shafts, gears and casing. So therefor if u weld a block on the casing that shoots out it should give the tranny some more leverage for not breaking. Taking one of the weak links out. Others are internals.
