Flywheel good or bad

I have not read to much about people putting flywheels in with there clutch in the 08-09 SS/TC. I am just wondering if there is reason for that. I know that it helps alot because you dont have to turn so much weight. I am just wondering when i get my stage 3 or 4 clutch if i should do flywheel.

I take it you got a spec?

At the very least you will have to get the stock flywheel resurfaced, which if there is a napa around you can get that done for cheap.

The findanza ones offer a lighter flywheel at the sacrifice of SOME durability...but ...if you are breaking a flywheel, I want to shake your hand.

I just ordered a spec 3+ clutch and will be resurfacing the stock flywheel. It's a daily driver and the heavier stock flywheel lends itself to smoother driving. If your going towards a track first car then go with a lighter one. its all up to what you wanna do with the car!

How heavy was/is the stocker?

I think part of the reasoning behind the stocker's weight was to absorb vibrations.

its either going to be spec 3 or spec 4 or the clutchmasters 3 or 4 6puck. I wish i could go lighter on the flywheel but not 7lbs. maybe like 11 or 10. Napa resurfaces them but do they shave them also.
