Gauging interest for a new cable clamp for the Cobalt SS

Hi everyone,

With all the mentions of shifter cables popping off of the shifter, we started to look at producing a new part for the SS which would be an improved cable connector. It would basically replace the stock plastic part that is obviously not as solid as it should be. We would replace it by a metal connector with a better attachment both to the cable itself and to the shifter.

If you are interested in this type of upgrade, please chime in on this thread so we can see how many people would need it!

Thanks,

Frank

Me, just make sure you make a nice bundle deal.... connector + bushings

Edit: Post this in the 08-09 SS Turbocharged General Discussion, you will get more responses..

This is a great idea. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would jump on this.

I have yet to encounter any problems with my S/C, but this might be a good "might as well" mod.

Heck yeah! This is a great idea. If TWM produced a part like this I would totally buy it. I already have the solid shifter bushings so this would compliment and round out the shifter assembly for the better

If you put up a deal with shifter bushings and weighted short throw I'd be in

Im in for it. I bet it would make shifting sooo much nicer as it gets caught up and wont shift into gears randomly and I'm thinking that could be some of the reason....

This would be nice, but still wouldnt get rid of the shifter cable slack. Anyway to get rid of that, to make the shifts feel a little tighter?

If you produce this with a reasonable price, you'll move some product fast.
