So with the stock 6500rpm red line, we get this:
Tire Size:
215/45/18
Final Drive Ratio (Axle Ratio of driven wheels):
4.05
Gear Ratios:
1= 3.38
2= 1.76
3= 1.18
4= .89
5= .70
Speed In Gears:
--1---------2----------3----------4----------5---
34.9------67.1------100.0-----132.6-----168.6
0-60 in just 2 gear changes.
1/4 mile run in just 3 gear shifts
(stock SC's turn less than 100mph in the 1/4 and make power right to red line)
Seems Chevy picked the right gears ratios!

All except first. It should go to about 40-45.
Hate to tell you this, but changing the pulley will not effect your speed like that. You will get there faster, but you have to change the gear ratios, differential or tire/wheel sizes to change the speed at the same RPM.

I didnt see this calculator in any posts above and its pretty good as its a slider type. Just inpout all the variables (of course Cobalt ones wont be listed as any defaults so it doesnt matter what make/model or tranny type its showing just change data to the correct ratios for gearing and rearend). I like it cause you can see exactly where you wanna shift to drop down into certain rpms using the slider bar. You computer needs Java installed/enabled for this to work.
The Cobalt has a horrible ratio drop (gm really fugged up their 2-4th ratios in this tranny) from 1st into 2nd gear and 1st must have the hell reved out of it at least 7k or more to drop it down to a decent rpm in 2nd for power, where as the shift into 3rd doesnt need anywhere near a redline shift to drop it down to a decent 4000 rpm, but using more like a 6400 shift.
