Gear set in the G85 tranny and regular MU3 tranny ???
I've never pulled a transmission apart so I'm not too familiar with the insides. Will the gears etc from a regular MU3 transmission be the same or work in the MU3 w/G85 transmission? I know the differentials are different and I want to keep my LSD, but I found a deal on a regular MU3 that I can rip the gears etc from. Any input if I can do this would be great thanks. Oh, and I am having some a professional rebuild the tranny, so don't worry!

I've not heard anything about the actual gear set being different. Otherwise you'd be seeing a lot better times run by G85 cars, but that's not the case. I'm pretty damn sure they're the same, otherwise they would have different transmission codes. One just has a differential and one does not.

If we are postive on this I'm could be back in business for a lot cheaper than I thought! Mikronite here I come for some beefing up before it goes back together!
