Unhappy Gears aren't grabbing.. HELP!

Alright. So I was just driving home, and something pretty bad happened.
I was on a red light, and when it turned green, I just put it into first, and took off. As soon as I put it into 2nd, it didn't grab. It felt EXACTLY like it was in neutral.. My 1st, 3rd and 5th work, but my 2nd, 4th and reverse don't... Can someone pleaaase tell me what the problem could be?

I believe zzp sells a good shift linkage for a little over 100 bucks

If you get the shift linkage from zzp along with the cable clamp from TWM you should be set

Why would it be the roll pin?

How do you drive the car? Shifting to hard can cause the roll pin to be damaged and break. Trust me I found out first hand =D.

It's a known weak spot and you described exactly the typical symptom of a broken roll pin.

where my finger is, is the fire wall side, wrist is on top of the trans. that black shaft probably came out of the rubber bushing there(thats what happened on mine, lost 2nd 4th and reverse). just push it back in... thats all i did, and haven't had any troubles since.

so i went to my friend's shop and he took a look at it.
and yeah, the shift linkages are messed up. There are two of them, and one of the two is completely broken. We tried to put it back in place, but it wouldn't budge.
I went to the dealership and they wanna charge me $158.35...

Yeah that sounds about right. I had to have one done under warranty. Try RockAuto, not sure if they have the linkages or not. If not ask the dealership for the part number, then try GMPD or talk to Tom at CED and see what kind of deal they can get you.

Wait, talk to who?

The dealership gave me an invoice, and I googled the part number.
This is what I found to be cheapest..
Should i get it?
