GM Clutch upgrade kit

Anybody have the GM clutch upgrade installed. Crateengine states its good up to 300hp. Good deal for $260. How do these compare to dual force or Spec?

they don't compare, if you're just looking for the usual bolt ons it will be fine. I wouldn't spend time taking apart everything and risk it not holding if you plan on going 300hp or more

is it the exedy oem replacement? I have that and it's eh... I am maybe 260 wheel and I slip occasionally. If it's not that clutch/press plate/bearing package I would like to get the gm upgrade.

if the stock clutch is already holding balts at 300hp this will certainly be enough and a cheap oem strong product like this for this cheap is a great buy

www.gmpartsdirect.com or www.crateenginedepot.com

there is a thread on here, somewhere, that has the part # for this kit and possibly a link directly to it.

I could tell you what I thought, but its the same as everyone else. Install time for me was about a day and a half all said and done. Followed the directions from the build book. Use a lift if you can.

I have been driving on mine for about a month or so. I haven't really used it aggressively, just your standard roll races once I got it broken in. I like it so far. I'm running ott stage 1 with some bolt ons.

I haven't hit the nitrous with in yet.

As I already said, I love mine. I have sprayed mine with a 120 shot and it didn't slip.

any clutch will suck w/ a bad driver imo... get the GM upgrade from crate. resurfice your flywheel. break in for 1000k city driving or 1500k suburbs driving... you'll be as happy as a crackhead on payday
