About damn time. But would it be cheaper just to go to a dealer and order "replacement" LNF axles and mounts if that's what the upgrade is? Sounds pretty sweet but $1,100 sounds kinda high for just the two of those. But if there's a legit warranty from GM that might be nice. And it'd be nice to launch without the dash falling off.

Can you say............... tax return buy!?!

Theres an idea..

Would be nice to have a CED tax time group buy. Offer each kit individually and an extra special price for both!

Don't forget install... Any cluch component upgrade installed by GM will most likely cost 2 arms, 1 leg and a newborn.

the only lnf mount that will work on the lsj is the passenger side engine mount. the subframe is different. the axle hubs are different.

by all means go ahead and try it!

however. the clutch kit will work,

Btw, I'm going DSS s2 axles and OTTP trans mounts too. I like the poly trans I now have, but worry about the axles and tranny each time I'm at the track.
Buy ONE stage 2 axle. and the OTTP mounts. The insert helps vibration. I identified why. And I also said that GM have found that asymmetrically stiffer shafts help counter hop. Too bad the moderators on this site try to stifle free and reasonable discussion about things of this nature.

The Grand Am Koni Cobalts used this LNF clutch at least all this season and part of last perhaps

The LNF and LSJ trannys are slightly different...... especially the shift cables and a few other internal items that beef it up for the LNF over the LSJ....... Wheel hop is a problem on the new LNF above 260 whp and motor mounts plus lowering springs reduce it mostly, then you have to deal with tons of tire spin...... DR's fix the tire spin but brings the wheel hop back......

Those are definitely more cost effective, but the point of this thread is that GM is finally offering this stuff. Not debating which is better or cheaper or been available longer.

The poly mounts fixed the problems for wheel hop on the street for me but snapped my stock axle shaft on the first launch at the drag strip because of the wheel hop that it did not prevent. Hense the reason I bounght the DSS Stage 2 axle shafts. I would have saved about $500 with this kit but I still think that at the strip this will not solve your problems. I have not been back to the track since the one shaft snapped for fear of my stock clutch going and then having to pay for another A@# reaming from my wife on how stupid it is to drag race and break my car. Maybe the heavier and thicker axle shafts might help on the wheel hop but I doubt it.

It sucks that it took so many people breaking stuff to release this kit.
From what I hear the axle sahafts are way larger on the LNF then the LSJand that the knuckle is a different design on the LNF then the LSJ to prevent this wheel hop. Also a different hub then the LSJ . All to help the wheel hop.
As far as the clutch it looks like a new TOB and clutch but what about the flywheel. I guess we just by a stock new one.
Thank god this came out I was thinking about buying a SPEC Stage 3 + but I have heard of issues with this clutch and for $700 it's a little exspensive.

CED needs a group buy when these come out
