They're made of rubber with a metal plate on top (Clutch and Brake). The gas pedal is entirely made of hard plastic (Like the stock design) and it has a layer of rubber and metal at the end of the pedal where you step on it. All 3 have nickel sized rubber dots that stick out for good grip.

i have these on my car, when your feet are wet, they slip ALOT on the rubber dots that are raised on the pedal for "better" grip, esp on the clutch pedal. i will agree with OP tho, they look awsom and the gas pedal being stiffer does actually give you greater throttle control.

Thanks for the description but I guess I should have been more specific on the material. Are they chromed steel, stainless or maybe aluminum? I would hate to spend $107 and have the chrome wear off in a year.

its not chrome, it looks aluminum or maybe even stainless but its not half a s shiny as chrome. its nothing too flashy.

this is for automatics, i cudnt find one for standards. its the exact same design tho for both.

Thanks a bunch. I had pictures in my head a year down the road looking down at a pile of RUST. Crate Engine only has a picture of the auto. also. But the ad is for manual according to the description. Tom at CED will have my order tonight. Thanks again. I guess I have to edit this twice. Thanks for the pics of the manual trans. Like I said, my order's in,

These are even better: http://www.srpracing.com/pd_cobalt_05.cfm

They actually grip test their pedals in several ways. Pretty neat stuff seeing a pedal company be so devoted to their product's functionality.

I thought about those but I don't like the idea of drilling them in. I don't like making holes in things that can't really be reversed. Yanno incase I want to sell or something. I wish they sold the dead pedal separate.

Worst case scenario is you have a few little holes in your stock pedals. Plus I mean you'll likely wanna keep the pedals on the car indefinitely anyways.

Not really.....

And I bet that's why Lotus Elise/Exige and EVO owners have swore by SRP's products for quite some time now.

And actually READ up on their products before you hate. I typically agree that pedals are a pointless mod.....but actually read up on their grip testing and you might be suprised on all the R&D that goes into their pedals. As funny as that sounds, its the truth.

You haven't read up on the GMPP kit at all, have you?

I have actually. But I think paying over $100 for pedals is rediculous. And I don't like the GMPP pedals. They look super thick and just goofy looking IMO. Just saying.

So then you know that its not just pedal covers, right?

It comes with a stiffer, more precise accelerator.

Yeah I know. But my accelerator feels just fine, so I don't feel like spending an extra $50 over the SRP pedals for something I'm not really interested in.

The only reason I have intentions of buying the SRP pedals is mainly for cosmetic reasons, and also the added grip ill have when its wet outside for when my shoes get wet.
