great upgrade for wheel hop
hey i bought a set of of the poly insert mounts for the tranny from zzp, they came in yesterday, i put them in about 45 mins today....for easy to install, and the wheel hop problem is there no more....now the only thing left that u need to get use to is the vibrations...but that ain't **** when ur keeping the power on the ground.....i am gonna go ahead and get the motor mount also....seriously tho if u want a good cheap way to get rid of the hop invest the 86.00 in these...well worth it....

some dont mind the vibes, I on the other hand am tired of these kinds of side effects. I heavily modded my cavy to the point where it vibed big time, I didnt mind it too much at first, but eventually I got so sick of it that I was willing to bring it back to stock in order to regain the comfort of vehicle refinement(no ghetto noise/vibrations). I will not do any mod that leaves you with this to tolerate. If you want to eliminate wheel hop without stimulationg your girlfriends clitoris in the passenger seat, use the Engine Torque Damper and the JBP Control Arm Bushings, wheel hop should be gone and very little vibes if any

Yeah I got the Ingalls ETD and whenever I take a left turn all I hear is RARR OHOAHORORHSOOAAAOHOOHHHOAArRr. It sounds like someone is taking a vise and squeezing the engine and all the pistons are grinding the inside of the cylinder walls.

are you serious??? on what setting? some members on here have said that they adjusted the ETD to a softer setting and there vibes went bye bye. Thats why I think the best combo is the CAB's to remedy most of the traction issue with added help of the ETD on a soft setting. I mainly want the ETD for more precise shifting. ANYONE ELSE?

i would much rather deal with the vibes other then the wheel hop....and trust me i have the jbp control arm bushings and the upper & lower torque braces and the hop was killing me....the jbp bushing are an excellent mod tho i love mine, but the torque braces not so good.....i had one the eye bolt snapped on, and the other one the mount snapped in 2... but i am very well please with the setup i got now....but u are also talking to sombebody that runs the **** out there car day in and day out, it hardly ever sees a break, so i had to do something to control the hop...

Ive had the ingalls brace for about 10 months, I finally found that 12mm is the best setting for me. I get very little wheel hop at the top of first gear if im on it hard. Second gear is nothing but spining if any. Im still looking at getting poly mounts though.

this is a good discussion thread, now that I,m putting out more hp I,m experiencing wheel hop, so i have decided on JBP control arm bushings and I,m debating tranny mounts to get rid of the "sloppy" going through gears

I have my Ingalls at 11 MM. No sound whatsoever. With my JBP CAB's and ZZP front mount and I have zero wheel hop. No weird or annoying sounds and the vibes are very liveable.

Is anybody using the BWoody Traction Bars with stock mounts? I want to swap out my ZZP Billet Motor Mount with the stock one and put on the tractions bars, but do you think I will get any increased wheel hop back (I have little to none right now)?

I have the ingalls etd, when I was only lightly modded (intake/exhaust) it worked great. Now that I have all this stuff done, it doesn't help at all! I get really bad wheel hop now, I looked at it, its still straight as an arrow, and its set on 10!

the first thing i bought to help with my wheel hop was the jbp control arm bushings, then i started adding more power and my hop started back agian, so i added the dual torque braces well they helped then i added a lil more power it came back then i broke both torque braces so i took it all out but the jbp control arm bushings and added the zzp poly bushing for the trans mount and put a lil more power to it, and what do u know, there was no wheel hop what so ever...now i just dump the clutch and take off.....

With the ETD it's pretty important to have the length perfect or the car is going to shake at idle pretty badly. You really need to attach one end and look very closely at the other end when putting the bolt through. If it's going in at an angle at all then the length of the damper needs to be changed. If the unit is either too long or too short it will push or pull the engine based on the mounting point on the chassis and transfer all of the engine vibration directly to the car. This makes a pretty strange noise in the cabin towards the passenger side.
It took me a few tries to get mine perfect but now the only difference I feel is the limited travel. If you are starting at a lower RPM you get a shake and shifts are firmer. Other than that you really shouldn't feel much of a difference.
