Unhappy Having clutch problems!!!

Ok I been noticing that when i get on my car and make 7k rpm shifts my clutch get hard to push in and stays closer to the floor, and after a little of normal driving it goes back to normal. It does no slip and has never slipped before i just noticed this the other day it freaked me out when i did a 7K shift from first to second gear then let off and when i shifted again the clutch was hard to push in and was like at the foor is this normal? what shold i do? i got 18,000 miles on the car!

first of all i would take it to the dealership and have them look at it, but if i had to guess i would say you are having problems with either the master cylinder or slave cylinder. I've had both go out. and if one is going it usually means the other is on its way so i would have that checked out man.

I've had the same problem but with a high speed down shift usually 4/3, coming hot into a turn and the peddle goes soft. Haven't found a solution yet either, but I think 05Yellowls is on the right track. I'll be interested in what you find.

I'm leaning towards changing master cylinder first as it's easier to change.

ive had this aswell, i think it may have something to do with the "self adjusting" pressure plate that gm used with the lsj. im curious to know if anyone else has had this problem with an aftermarket clutch.

Are you leaking DOT3 or is the reservoir down.

I flushed mine several times with the Wilwood 570 juice thinking it was getting hot and doing the same as brake fade but it does it pretty much any time I high rev it at any temp. It seems to be high rev related. I've had to learn to brake longer without engine decel to get the revs down before shifting. I don't normally rev to 7k redline so I don't see on the upside, just doesn't seem to need to go that high with my weight.

The clutch and brakes share the same reservoir.
