I think I burned my clutch...oppinions????

Ok guys I have about 23,000 miles on the balt and im hearing this buzzing noise coming from my passenger floor board when under throttle. And when I get on the accelerator it feels like im goin then all of a sudden the rpms rise faster like im in neutral, but im in an actual gear. I smell burnt plastic or clutch (?) afterwards for a while.I burned my clutch didnt I?
All oppinions appreciated. thanks

23k miles from stock clutch is not bad when you heard lot of stories from people here that it last 10-15k miles

you can also try spec 2+ i heard good things too, is not as good as the exedy but it doesnt cost a lot like the exedy niether.

i dont think its the clutch cause if its on gear then it will stay in gear it doent matter if you have no clutch the clutch is only to disengage the gears for shifting a car can still be driven if your clutch goes out its just a bitch to do. i drove like that for six months

At first they said I was going to have to pay for a new clutch, but the tech told me if I wanted I could order an aftermarket clutch and they would put that in and just give me the stock parts. Apparently though GM Decided to warranty the clutch and they had my car back together less than 12 hours after that talk.

I took my car in for 2nd gear on a Monday I believe, and I had it back by Wednesday. I HIGHLY recommend Sterling Chevrolet in Sterling, IL.

Your clutch is gone, it will go completly in a few hundred miles. This is exactly what mine did, I couldnt go over 3000 rpms after 3000rpms the car acted as it was in neutral.

I am having the exact same problem right now. How did you convince them to cover it?

I'm over 50k and mine is just now beginning to show signs of possible failure.

Unfortunately my trans is also.

Go for the Exedy.

Got my Saturn dealer to cover it by calling corporate and complaining how bad my service was =) They saw me do donuts after I bought the car right across the street so they were not to happy! lol
