intsalling Hurst shifter

ok guys i'm going to be installing my Hurst short throw shifter tommorow, and i have done a search on this but really found no clear answer. Everyone that have installed these have complained about the set screw that comes with the shifter, and that you need to replace it with a better one, i was wondering what length does the screw need to be?

there is a thread on the install w/ pics around here that I recommend reading... the HURST directions are really crappy!

It took me like 1.5 hours because I didn't want to break anything... it's really not hard to do, just be patient!
I suggest finding the thread...

i'm having that very problem.....it's so irritating that it makes me want to get rid of the stupid thing. i tightened it as hard as i could and it was back to being loose within 3mins of driving the car.
