LSJ cluth install issue.
hello all. i just installed the new GM clutch upgrade
and a brand new OEM flywheel. now i notice the engine seems to vibrate a bit more. at first i thought it was due to an unbalanced flywheel or clutch, but its only bad from about 1600-2000rpm winch leads me to believe the new clutch may have just change the resonant frequency for the engine. the thing is i have solid mounts so i cant tell if the new vibration is worse then it actually is, im sure if i didn't have the mounts i wouldn't even had noticed it.
i would thing with solid mounts a unbalanced clutch/flywheel assembly would shake the car to pieces
just wondering if anyone else noticed a change in engine pitch or vibrationg after a clutch install.

so far it seems fine , i only have 120 miles on it , so its not broken in yet, the clutch pedal is stiffer due to the stronger pressure plate

well i'v talked to a guy at my work that use to do vibration test, for ford. so he know alot about the subject.
he says that if the vibration gets worse with rpm then its an balance issue. if its only under a certain frequency (engine rpm) then its just a resonance. wich isnt a problem. he was saying that all cars have different resonances , even the same make model from the same assambley line , something as simple as bolts being torqued differently can change the way things sound or vibrate. we narrowed it down to ether the passenger side engine mound(may have been bent when dropped the tranny) or the sub frame bolts being over torqued, which would have caused the rubber bushings to not as affective.
