Lsj replacement flywheel

What's up all,

It's getting about time to replace my clutch in my 06 ss/sc. Going to go with the gm lsj upgrade clutch kit, along with new flywheel bolts, clutch pipe and elbow and a stainless steel clutch line, and possibly a new master cylinder, just to have an all new setup to avoid any problems.

Car currently has 130k on it and the clutch is starting to slip on a hard 1-2 shift, but no other times .Seems kinda odd to me, but pretty sure it's just a worn out stock clutch. I can ease into power and nail it in 2nd and I don't get any slip. Only slips on a full power 1-2 .

I guess my real question is about a stock replacement flywheel. I dint want to go with a lightweight flywheel, just a stock replacement. I've seen mention of an luk lfw285, but that seems to be for an 08-10 lnf. Zzp and ottp both have stock type, but don't really differentiate between whether or not they are lsj or lnf .Crate engine has the stocker, but at a little over $400, I may as well go lightweight, which again not really looking for .The luk is around 100$, while zzp/ottp go for around 160-200$ .

Anywhere else to get a stock style replacement? Will the luk fit the lsj? Like that price on that one .

Thanks for any help you all can provide .

I may be wrong here, but my understanding is the LSJ/LNF flywheels are the same and interchangeable.
I actually went with the LuK flywheel and GMPP on my LNF, as I didn't want to drop massive cash, and my power goals don't involve more than the stock turbo. I only have 400 miles on it since install, so I can't really comment on longevity.

I did do a 3rd gear pull the other day and it held the power the stocker failed to(77k on stock). Last time I was at the dyno it made 322/337 with the stock clutch slipping pretty bad, so we'll see how it goes.

Back on topic though, it seems most say just grab one from ZZP because it's so cheap. I would have, but I went with the LuK because they were sold out when I was ordering all of my parts. I'm sure more will chime in with info for you.

Edit: More on the interchangeability of the flywheels. It seems some of the LNF flywheels had larger diameter guide pins for the pressure plate, but not all of them.

They are different, slightly. Not enough to matter at all.

So you think I should just grab the luk and that'll be good? Would there be anything I would need to modify?

There should not be.

If the pp holes are larger than the dowels on the flywheel find a white aim bic round stick medium pen. Cut the body into three pieces. Slide one of each dowel. Install PP. tighten. Remove pens body pieces.

That will center the PP if the dowels are too small.

I had a couple of tiny bushings from something(don't remember what) sitting in my toolbox that worked nicely. I never thought of using a Bic pen, I'll have to remember that one. Nice tip.
