need help with upgrading brakes

brakes are on the way out.....drive an 09 ss/tc obviously the brembo package

im coming to the conclusion that the stock pads are the best that you can get???? is this right? im considering the stock pads over the Hawk HPS pads...and input would help....also considering slotted rotors

i daily drive the car unfortunately so im passing on drilled n slotted and going with just slotted. i do go to the drag strip a couple times a summer....any help would be great

thanks.

I'd definitely go stock pads versus Hawk HPS. Stock is many times better than these Hawks and for normal daily driving and the occasional drag strip stock brakes are more than adequate.
There are better pads but those are really not necessary unless you (road) track your car.
In terms of rotors, the R1Concept premiums are nice because they have a durable coating that will prevent rust and look a lot nicer than stock. But in terms of braking power, again the stock rotors are more than fine.

Go with stock pads. Slotted rotors are going to cost you more and look cooler then blanks. You have the right idea though staying away from drilled and slotted.

If I was you I would just go blank but if you want the looks of slotted then go for it. As far as where to buy from I buy my stuff through a friend who can order all kinds of parts for me at good prices.
