I am looking for a stronger roll pin cause i have broken mine 3 times now! Has anybody found a stronger replacement? I am tired of paying 500 ever time to get it fixed.

Which roll pin are you talking about?

How about a drill bit (if small) or a 1/4" socket extension (impact drive type, not plated) if the hole can be enlarged. You could always jb weld it in place.

you would seriously jb weld something to ur car as a permanent fix...sounds pretty retarded to me.

Im talking about the roll pin that connects the shifter to the tranny. JB welding it in wouldnt do anything cause it snaps them in half.

Now that I know which roll pin you're talking about... some members on here have replaced the shifter roll pin with a bolt and a nut. Just use grade 7 or higher.

BTW, I have replaced goldwing transmission roll pins using JB weld to hold them in place. It is a permanent repair. It stops them from walking out, which causes the hole to deform and the pin to break. If I remember correctly, I learned of the repair procedure from a Honda service bulletin.

Does the Hurst shifter have stops to limit lever travel? This would take the strain off the roll pin from being pushed past the point when the shift shaft stops.
