so the reason your clutch is fucked is because you got the first version?
If i were to order the CM FX300 now, Would it be resolved, and problem free or what>is it a new version?
BTW best of luck when you install

I can shift kinda fine at 6750 if i shift slow but I can't drive it like I could the stocker. Really frustrated right now...I'm gonna give this thing a week then I either want a reimbursement to go back to stock or a fix...I'm not too happy...I mean I can drive it to work...50 mi each way and I will but its not as good as the stocker.

man this really sucks do you think they made the clutch disk too thick and thats why it hard to disengage because we are dealing with mm here so every little bit counts i am on my way up to the dealer now, i hope its ready to go, it was suppose to be his first car today, and if its not i'll sit there right inside the writers office untill its ready

SS4Life, please don't tell me the third one isn't going to work. I'll be pissed. I haven't installed it yet, but I'll be doing it tomorrow night! I don't want to waste my time again if this one won't work for me!

Its in. It works. Life no longer sucks (as much). I have unfortunately become WAY too much of an expert on these things. Believe me, I think in the 4 times that I removed and installed my trans, I made just about any mistake you can. Let me give you guys some tips, so you can make new mistakes rather than repeating mine and then I will talk about bleeding.
The thing that gave me the most fits was on this last trip around. In removing the metal block from the top of the trans, that the hydraulic line plugs into, there is a hat shaped rubber seal. That seal is supposed to be on the plastic piece that the metal block goes down over. The large end of the opening on the seal goes down. There is NO 0-ring on this plastic piece. If you are missing this seal or if you end up with an o-ring there also, you WILL have a fluid leak and you WILL think that it is coming from your slave cylinder and if I didn't tell you about this, you WOULD take your trans out again. Also, you would not be able to build up hydraulic pressure or vacuum.
When bolting the rear roll restrictor down, be careful not to pinch the 02 sensor wire. You will set codes.
When drawing the trans up to the trans mount, make sure that you do not pinch the hydraulic line.
Once everything is all hooked back up and the car is on the ground, make sure that you have AT LEAST a fresh pint of DOT 3 brake fluid. Note that brake fluid is hydroscopic. That means that is will absorb water even through the plastic container. That is why it is worth the few bucks to buy a brand new container. Now, hook up your mightyvac that you bought for $39 at the local chain auto store. Look at the picture in MyGarage for a photo of the setup. PM me if you have questions on the setup. Put the rubber stopper on top of the brake master cylinder (with cap removed) and pump it up to around 25psi of vacuum. Get into the car and pump the pedal vigorously 30-40 times. Remove the vacuum pump, replace the cap on the master cylinder, get in car and pump up brakes/clutch. Fill master cylinder and repeat the bleeding process. Repeat the entire process as required to get a good release of the pedal. Remember that you WILL NOT have any clutch or brakes after taking the vacuum pump off. Do not attempt to drive car until pumped up!!!!!!!!

well it looks like i'm the only one with problems now, could you explain the thing ontop of the trans one more time, i didn't unplug that i unplugged it at the firewall and can i buy that rubber stopper off of you.

I am not sure how you managed to get that top left hand bolt off without taking this off. Must have been a PIA. Anyway, the slave cylinder has a 4" metal line that goes from the slave to the edge of the trans.. Overmolded on the end of the metal line is a plastic quick disconnect fitting. This fitting has what I have termed the "hat" shaped seal. The aluminum block that has the bleeder in it connects to that quick connect. The teflon line from the clutch master cylinder at the firewall plugs into the metal block. All I was saying was that the "hat" shaped seal could come off and you might not know where it came from. I was explaining where and how it goes in case anyone else had this issue. Mike

I called the guys at CM and they said what I am doing should definitely take care of it. I am getting the adjustable master cylinder off of a 98-04 vette and putting that on. It has its own reservoir so it is like an additional hour job and I'm getting it for only $180 so well worth it to do it all at once with no problems!
