Hey 06Black, If you don't get the slave from SS4Life, I have a brand new one. I did install it, but took it out before it had any miles at all. I thought it was the cause of my fluid leak, but I was wrong. Oh well, I needed the practice of taking the trans out another time. Seriously, I don't know what they are worth, but make me a fair offer if you don't get Kevins.

well i won't be able to work on mine untill tomorrow morning because its raining and the car is outside, i needed someone to help me push it up the hill
Maybe the stg 4 clutch disk is too thick and thats why the stg 3 works and the stg 4s aren't releasing enough

Ok, I didn't install the clutch last night. I took the girl out for dinner etc. for our 3 year anniversary of being together. I figured I needed to keep her happy since I've been sort of bent out of shape lately about the car. Tonight is hopefully the night boys. If it goes well, I guess I'll have to order some more parts!

well its still not working i can hear the slave pushing against the clutch but i'm not sure if pressing hard enough or that it is losing pressure when it presses up against the clutch, or it just can't release it because of the clutch being too thick.
I THINK THESE ARE MY OPTIONS
the dealer said they can put a stock one back in, won't do aftermarket
i could keep trying to bleed it
i could pay someone to figure it out
i could try to get a refund and get a spec clutch

Hey, everyone that had to send theirs back? Did you have to pay shipping for it? They didn't give me a number or anything when they asked to send it back other than a reference number as to what the problem was.
I don't wanna send it yet if they are paying for everyone else's.

Well, I have 650 miles on my new clutch. The system has self bled itself the rest of the way. I have about 1.5" of reserve and can do a WOT 1-2, which I have not been able to do since I took the stocker out. You guys who have a low reserve need to put some miles on the car. Double clutch it if necessary to get good shifts. In case there is someone out there that is not familiar with double clutching, it is simply the process of cycling the clutch while you are in neutral during a shift. Number one, it makes it possible for you to shift when your reserve is low, and secondly, it helps to work any small amounts of air out of the system twice as fast.

Well its not that it needs to be bleed, i can get the Mity Vac to sit on 25hg and not even move and pull fuild up out of the resovior and i can hear the bearing pushing against the clutch, i think the clutch disk is too thick, because when the pressure plate pulls away, i don't think it is getting away enough,
2K5SS did you ever get your in and working.
I really don't want to tow it over 20 miles to a desent trans shop.
Any help would be great
