So i just got the car back from the dealership and now the thing is shifting just fine but as soon as i get into the higher RPM's it won't shift. I know this is the same problem that alot of you guyes are having, but i don't really want to read through all the pages on this thread again. So what do i need to do? It's the FX400 6-Puck, and it did say CANAD on the clutch plate or whatever so i know it's the newer version. Do i just need to let it go for a while and hopefully it'll work itself out or what??? Any help would be great. Thanks

Dave

yep.. break that sucker in and it will get better.. same thing with my car. there is still a lil bit of air in the system, so double clutch when shifting to get the air out even faster. it may take a lil while for the car to shift good, but it will eventually. mine did this exact same thing and now it shifts great!!

So i've got almost 200 miles on the new clutch and have been double clutching ever since. How long will this take before i can start shifting in the higher RPM's??

At least 500 miles on normal break in, but with the Stg 3 6 puck it may take a little longer.

I NEED HELP HERE!!!I Was wondering if cm fixed the problem with the fx300 clutch I bought one on august 9 06. The reason why I am asking is becasue about a week back i had tranny issues in my car(Stock clutch, flywheel)And dealer end result was to put a new tranny my clutch was kinda bad so deside to go with findaza flywheel and a Cm fx 300 (so new tranny, clutch,Flywheel) I got the car back about a week from today as soon as I rode the car the clutch needed to be step on all the way im talking about all the way down and then after riding for about a mile i Started to notice a grinding sound when i would decellerate in gears im talking about like a grinding metal to meatal but only in decelleration.Took it back to the dealer and after a day of 2 they told me that the new tranny had a bulletin about a ballbearing and spring problem that needed to be fixed.Mechanic said that the clutch thing could be fix by bleeding it againe. What do u guys think Can it be the Clutch or can it be the tranny issue. Its a brand new tranny, clutch and flywheel thank god dealer did not blame it on the clutch and the tranny is comming down on their behalf.Help me out with What u guys think because if its the clutch I might be in time to send it back get a new one and not have to pay any labor Thanks team

If the clutch is grinding you would have noticed it immediately trust me. The whole car shook. If it only happens during deceleration it's probably the slave cylinder or tranny. My slave shirps/squeeks periodically now. Sort of annoying somtimes, but then other times you can't hear a thing.

Oh, and lightweight flywheels also cause a slightly different sound as well IIRC.

recommend a clutch

I have been having a tearable time with my clutch slipping, when i drop the hammer into second gear it does not engage until the RPM's are extremely low and no matter how much i want to race, i just wont from a dig, it is just too embarassing. my question is i was looking at a SPEC stage III or a CM stage 4 any rec? Thanks

i heard the spec is only good if you get the plus one, and i think the CM is cheaper with better grip

That is what i heard too about SPEC but enhanced performance recommends the basic stage III and that is what got me confused.

SPEC Stage 3 + is the best IMO, I have it and it is great. We have a good price also on them right now.
