new wheel studs
Long story a mechanic broke a wheel stud then I moved out of state and on the trip another one broke on the same wheel and the 3 lugnuts left came loose so I am left to fix it. Good news is now I can do the work myself.
I am running the 5 spoke black steel GM wheels on a 2005 SS/SC. The lugnuts on there now I got from italianjoe when I bought the wheels from them and he got them off ebay. I believe they are aluminum. For some reason they have come loose on me twice after removing a tire and I have never had another car do that even on the balt the first 50,000 miles with the stock lugnuts.
It is probably my fault for not torquing them down. Next purchase will be a torque wrench. Also what are the torque specs?
I am taking the tire off tomorrow to look at it but want to get this post going first. Where to get some quality lugnuts for all 4 corners and also where to get at least 2 wheel studs? Will know if I need all 5 tomorrow. Should I just go to the local autostore? What size studs do I need?

Just went to the auto store and got the ones they had. Was easy to do. Just hammered the old ones out and used a nut as a spacer and tightened the lugnut down pulling the stud in.
