NO LSD! Need some help!

NO LSD! Need some help!

Alright im new to here so any help from anyone will be great. so my problem is that i got one of the 06 ss s/c cobalts with no LSD! yea it sucks too. but i was wondering if i could put an after market one in? so where can i get it from and how much would it be for the LSD its self and about how much to get it put in? or can i put it in my self?

Yes they do make one now i cant remeber where i have seen it but i will look for it and put up the link for it

well, they are going for about a grand right now, and I dont know about your mechanical ability, but It would be a long project involving seperating the trans case and ripping the guts out

not having LSD is that bad...i tohught its mostly used for a start in a dig and for snow and i rite or wrong

LSDs will distribute torque to whichever wheel has more traction...increases traction when launching (so one wheel doesnt get more than the other), increases powering out of corners, and will help keep you from sliding on ice as much

so its mostly for like bad weather and better launches rite

i just finished my diff install everything shifts real smooth still breaking in the clutch so cant beat on it yet. my dad and i did the rebuild hes a tranny tech and been doing it for 42 years. if interested we can do the rebuild. labor is reasonably priced.
