OTTP stage 1 installed..UPDATE TEST DRIVE

Very nice piece!
This is front mount and rear spacer. Torque steer and wheel hop greatly improved.
I found that my stock mount had a TEAR in the center (no biggie) which is in the thinner portion and probably doesn't effect the mounts performance. Car has only 12K mi. I'll post the pic here later on. As far as VIBES..slight increase with AC on only..this will prolly diminish as mount breaks in.

Here is pic of my original torn mount:

Here is OTTP stage 1 kit. Front mount and rear spacer:

yeah..I think it's really *skin* left over from the mold..nothing functional with the rubber mount itself.

im interested in this mount to get rid of wheel hop.... everyone said the vibe is minimal but i still have doubts about the vibes because i absolutely dont want any increase in that.. could anyone else with stage 1 mounts chime in about the vibes as well?

Test drive OTTP stage 1

It's VASTLY better!!
The real test was to accelerate hard into a very tight turn. Prior to installing this Stage 1 mount, the car would get squirmy with moderate torque steer and some hop. Man..it's now rock solid and I now have MUCH more confidence in squeezing the throttle into tight turns. Under hard acceleration in general ZERO torque steer and very little hop. This mount, even in Stage 1, is awsome. I often drive close to the limit (not speed, but G force wise) and I had trepidations with all this power comming on at once. The mount has pretty much put that top bed. Vibes are no more than stock. I Highly recommend this bolt on to all.
Further udate:
Noticed that drive train *lash* (bucking/lurching)...when on and off the throttle (in 1st 2nd) is gone too!

Is it stage 1? You shouldn't feel any increase with AC off. Slight increase with AC on. Did you losen passenger side motor mount before installing mount and spacer?
If you notice them (and aren't stage 2), I would make sure you losen up the motor mount on passenger side (3 bolts a couple turns)..then turn car on and back up..move forward. Stop car and re-tighten bolts. See if that helps.

Stage 2 has more vibes. That's why I didn't get it..no need, since I don't drag race. Not knocking stage 2. It's for cars tuned past 300WHP (prolly above 320ish), so it's overkill if you're not in that category (or drag racing). If you didn't loosen that top mount first...you *should* get an improvement after doing so and tightening. Post back if it seemed to help...just curious.

You can in your garage lol. Honestly I would have someone do it for you. I had trouble getting things to line up. I have the stage 2 though and fitting the spacers in the bracket for the rear mount can be frustrating. Also the amount of space you have to maneuver around with sucks. Stage 1 should be alot easier.

How to's:

I guess I'll order up a Stage 1 soon, I can always get the Stage 2 upgrade later if I need it.

Yeah, I know I'm around 340 WHP, but I'm on stock mounts now.

You'll love it..makes a signifiacnt difference. For $150 (stage 1), it's a no brainer.

I have heard good things about the stage 1 mounts. however I went with the TTR Stop mount and only paid about a few dollars less to get both mounts and I must say after the breakin period I was impressed. So I hope that you like the ottp mounts as they do stiffen things up quite a bit. Just my .02. The rotated mounts are awesome regardless of who you go with you will not be disappointed.

Yea that rear mount can be pretty tricky.
