MY clutch started acting up around 15,000 miles slipping like crazy going hard from 2nd to 3rd i didnt take any chances i through on a spec stage 2 with a flywheel .
But yes it was slipping didnt wana grip for anythig .
And if this is going to be read by someone in GM they should also consider changing the way the clutch master cylinder is put on this car seriously not cool !
At the moment i find myself changing the reinforcement plate on my car if anybody knows what that is you would know its part of the fire wall and trust me not fun to change !!! Clutch master cylinder went rite thriough the fire wall plate !
Someone told me it happess when you stomp on the clutch well all in all whenever i started driving like a man this went bad on me ! Its a performance division car it should of held up alot longer and taken more abuse !

I voted Yes. I am at 28,500 miles roughly. It's not terribly bad slipping. However I had a dang 2001 Mercury Cougar MTX-75. That clutch lasted until 110,000. I ran that car into the ground as much as I could with dropping the clutch etc... and the tranny went before the clutch, at that point i of course replaced the clutch since the tranny was out. and if anyone ever worked with a duratec cougar... haha you know

Not sure if this has already been said. I am not going to read 13 pages. When I bought my 06 SS/SC it had 12k miles on it. The clutch slipped so bad it was horrible! I guess practice makes perfect. I have been driving a standard trans since my first car. Needless to say, by 20k miles my clutch no longer slipped. Which means that the cluth was glazed over. If you know how to drive a standard, you will be fine!
