I voted no. Car is completely stock. Just cracked 15,000km's and had the car since March '05. Still runs like a champ.

22000 miles rock solid clutch. Thats with 20 passes at the track and countless beatings on the street.

1,500 KM.... over the past week the clutch feel has changed a great deal as it doesnt grab until the very top of the pedal
I have had many stick cars (5.0 mustangs to z24 cavaliers) so i know how to drive, but this clutch is good one day, then i have a hard time with it the next.

Mine is an 05 SS S/C and it has 14k miles on it. The clutch does slip badly from 1-2nd, it doesnt fully engage until the rpms drop. I dk what to do about this it seems to only be happening from 1-2nd but it could also be the ecu and not the clutch. Its electronically cutting back your fuel and timing curve to regain traction

13,000+ miles and now stage 2. Hooks like a champ
Normal driving conditions for me is easy shifting and driving slow.

Some spirited driving including high rpm power shifting. 8 runs at the track all power shifted. This was done before the car even hit 7000 miles.

No issues whatsoever.

my clutch slisp from 2nd to 3rd when redlining, my cousins redd ss/sc slips from first to 2nd.

my slipping actually caused my tranny mounts to break when it went back in gear it because it jerked so hard.

My car slipped the first day I got it from 1st to 2nd but only one time. Now I have 6k and stage 2 and it hasnt slipped since. very strong feel and grips great. I only shift fast when racing. If im just out in the middle of nowhere having fun I rev to 6 and then granny shift into 2nd. Im worried about the clutch but so far its holding up great.

The SS S/C does not have traction control, so it can't be the ECU.

I have 9,500 mi. on mine and have never experienced it slip with my "spirited" driving.

16k..couple times beating on it since i got gm stg. 2..Once or twice the clutch slipped, but i think it was driver error. other wise then that clutch is solid.

4100 mile seems to be slipping once in awhile it almost seems like the tires are spinning but it's the clutch not grabbing.

Great guys!

Keep it up!

Every one needs to vote so we have a data base on this.

Even if GM wont do any thing there are other resorses we can use to force them to fix the problem. There are laws in place to make sure that companys cant sell you crap and not fix it guys so dont worry.

Thus far it seam that about 1 in 3 clutches slips. That is way higher then what is permited.

GM even admits there is a problem so we have more to go on here then you guys think.

I need any one who has receved and E-mail regaring the clutch in this car to pleas PM me a copy of the E-mail with the address it came from still on it.
(I will not share any of the E-mails with any one other then GM and any one els that may get involved in the legal end of this.

Thanks for staying on topice and keeping this thread Clean and flame free!

Keep it up guys!

later

I have experienced clutch slippage on an all stock motor, and I have been driving stick for a few years.

My father drives the car, and he obviously has been driving stick his whole life, and experiences it, as he drives the car too. It will only slip on the 1st to 2nd shift, but it will only get worse.

12K and slipping
