900 Miles, clutch slips horribly. I am completely stock for now, Stage 3 upgrade will be here Thursday. I guess I need a new clutch. Any ideas on how to get my clutch replaced by the dealer, seeing as how it's only got 900 miles on it?

5000 and acting up. I just took it in Last tuesday, the friction point is at the very top and it slips, and smells like it's burning no matter how light i drive it. They checked it out however and said it's fine! BS, i'm going to go there today and complain some more, I think i might print out this thread to help my case.

I wonder if the weak clutches are coming out of a certain plant or 2? I'm not sure how many plants make the ss/sc so I coulde be wrong. It seems that most the Houston Balts are having clutch slippage.

4707 miles, occasional chatter and its grab varies with driving conditions. I voted no since I wouldnt classify it as really slipping. i have been romping on it since 300 miles. so if it does go, i definitely will consider it my own fault.

Your right it is a high #.

Thats why Im doing this. Im going to try and get the problem looked at by GM and out side sorces that can make GM fix the problem. I need this info so that I can go to them and say "hey look there are alot of us with this problem. It needs to be looked in to and fixed."
And show them this thread and they can see for them selves that there is a problem.

And if I fail you all still have a thead to show your dealer to help to get the car warrentied.

Later and thanks every one!

If you beat on your car things like this happen. I'll bet all the guys and girls on here that haven't had clutch problems, don't beat on their cars. I don't beat on mine and have had no problems.

^Incorrect!

I don't beat on my car and my clutch is slipping.
The problem is some of us are not beating on the cars and the clutch is still going out.
And some of us race the car regularly and even beat the crap out of it and are not having any problems at all.

Please stay on topic!

And please done post about something you obviously don't know much about without reading the full thread and doing some research to back up your claim.

Some have killed there clutch. Others like me have a problem that is not there fault.
Wether the clutch problem is the pressure plate or the fault of the hydraulics its not mine, that much I can tell you. But there is a problem and it needs to be fixed!
Its that simple!
Now back on topic. And pleas no more flaming and no fighting in this thread. If that is all you want to do pleas take it some place els. This thread is here to help people.

Later.

Mine slips often from 1'st to 2nd. IT started doing it in my first 1000 miles. I have 6 now and really try to granny it as I need my slutch to hold.
