im actually looking on their website. they have
05-07 2.2 l61/m86
06-07 2.4 le5/m86
both manual, im assuming the same transmission. and no lsj/mu3's. so nevermind.

Yeah mines 600 grams. Heavy enough to shift effortlessly, or knock someone out haha. Op, hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in. I want to say f35 is no go, as the SS shifter has reverse lock out and is an 8 bolt crank/flywheel as well as different gearing ratio etc. I don't think the transmission is the issue unless you've toasted 2nd by now.

The 2.4 and 2.2 use the same f23 transmission, not sure if same ratio but I would assume so

Ratio can be slightly different, be sure to check that.

I'm assuming the 2.4 is slightly shorter?

Try going back to the stock shifter, my brother had that on his cavalier and its just terrible. Have you checked the cables or the clamps yet?

yes, i've checked pretty much everything that moves from my hand to inside the transmission. its not the shifter, it'll go into gear as long as i dont touch the gas. transmission shop said it might be a bent shift fork? but idk. i dont deal with transmissions. lol

Yes it'd bolt right up but each gear would be shorter, worse MPG better acceleration. I'll most likely be switching to that or another higher geared F23 with LSD this summer.

I sawtoothed my F23's 2nd gear when I had an LT, just ground too many gears and rested my hand on the shifter.

Could downshift and it'd slow, but the second I got on the gas it would pop out. GM replaced under warranty.

i honestly could care less about mpg lol.
and yellloeye, thats exactly what mine is doing. would just replacing the 2nd gear fix it? considering it's not under warranty anymore.

Would be cheaper to replace the transmission for a new one that just that gear after labor. These transmissions only run $300-400 mileage dependent.
