Roll pin problem need help

Ok so my tranny quit going into gears yesterday and the stick felt very sloppy and had no feel to it so I was reading on here and found a post about that problem and how to fix it so under the fuse box on top of the tranny there is a linkage piece or something with a roll pin through it and that is in fact broke cause I was able to pull 1/4 of the roll pin out and it was broken off and I can't get the rest out, my question is how do you get it out? How do you get a punch and a hammer down in there? There just isn't enough room it seems like and I've tried almost everything any help would be appreciated thanks

Yes, a pin punch plus hammer are needed.
In my IRL I found it very very helpful to drop the tranny down a couple inches to be able to swing the hammer from the wheel well - I couldn't get it from the top side.

^ good advice. Hammer and punch are your friend.

Take the fuse box off you get a lot more room an put a bolt in it

Don't replace with a bolt like others mentioned.

Roll pin is designed to be a weak point tofall before damaging your trans.

Was able to get the old pin out and the new pin in I didn't want to do the bolt idea for the reason @cluelessk said but I was able to get a short nail that I cut that was the right size for the hole cause my pin pusher was too long I didn't have any hammering room but with the short nail it makes a difference but as always thanks for the ideas and support guys really appreciate it
