Short Throw Shifter!!!

Getting my short throw in a couple of days, just wondering if there is any easy way to install it, or is the twm install manual the only one out there?

Thanks

If you haven't ordered yet go with a Cavalier shifter and save about $30. Whichever you get use TWM as guide. Just pull top 2 plastic pieces. Loosen 2 clips on cables (they just lift a little to release the cables). Remove 4 bolts holding shifter in place. Lift shifter and slide off cables. Use TWM for how to install shifter in shifter assembly. You shouldn't have to cut the assembly. You will need a zip tie (at least 6") to hold boot up and grease. You can do all the work with the shifter out of the car (TWM does some inside).

yeah the TWM guide is the way to go... but the bolts that hold the shifter in are 13mm not 12mm like the book says

I couldn't find the Cosmo short shifter on ebay. I assume all the 00-05 Cavy shifters will work?

Ok so i ordered the shifter, recieved it today, im looking at Pclears how to and it shows it should come with that white piece that you put in a socket, my shifter did not come with the rubber washer that sits on the lower arm like shown is his picture, do i need these two items?

I think Pclears how to is for SS/SC. Use TWM http://www.twmperformance.com/manual...n%20Manual.pdf You doen't have to cut the base.

That's the same shifter I have. If you put the boot down a notch on the RLO it won't be so tight. If you ceckout my gallery you can see how it looks in a dirty car LOL. I allso removed that piece. IMO the purple looks good with a black car.

Which shifter did you buy? I don't see one with a purple ring on ebay.
