Stock TC Clutch Type?

Does anyone know if the clutch in the Cobalt SS/TC is hydraulic or cable? Today I let my friend drive my car and he said it almost feels like a cable clutch. My friend's car is a Subaru WRX which he let me drive and he says that it has a hydraulic clutch. His clutch felt more linear like it followed a smooth path whereas the cobalt kind of lifts up and feels non-linear; hard to describe with words but easy for anyone to feel. Also, what are the advantages and disadvantages of hydraulic and cable clutches?

The SS/SC and TC clutches are hydraulic. They are self-adjusting and not likely to break like a cable will.
The only difference you could feel is that the cable type might not be as smooth.
My first car had a cable clutch linkage and the cable snapped and left me stranded.

You guys are correct; I looked in the owner's manual and it says that the clutch is hydraulic and self adjusting.
