Sounds like Pfitzner Performance Gearbox (PPG) gears. They only really offer them for imports, mostly AWD's. But they do sell some Honda stuff too.

Pretty much they only focus on vehicles that blowup gears. The WRX is a great example since the concenous say the stock 5spd can only handle around 300 hp even though you still need to be careful (no heavy launches etc etc). You can get them in straight cut or helical with synchros or dogbox.

They usually run around 3500-4000 for just the gears. Installation can be another 1000 dollars.

I'm actually planning on Helical with sychros 1-4 gears. According to PPG they should be able to tolerate around 500 hp even if driven abusively. I doubt I'll ever put that much power to the ground. Even with helical gears from PPG are still alot louder then stock. The gear noise from straight cut is almost rediculous for a daily driver. I've been in a WRX with straight cut gears and they were loud enough the owner removed the headunit and speaker for weight reduction and because you could hear it unless you were sitting still...

Some other companies may offer them but unless you guys are blowing up transmission I doubt it. No demand = no supply....

It would be nice to get a first gear that was closer to second and didn't end before you could get your pedal to the floor.

You definately dont want a dog box but you can get straight cut with synchromesh....

Dogbox is alot stronger though. I've heard of people doing it but I wouldnt want a daily driver without synchros...
