TMW Hard to get in reverse

I put in my STS last weekend and it is a little of a struggle to get it into reverse. If i put it in reverse then neutral then reverse it goes real easy. Another thing I was curious about is that the reverse lock goes down after put in gear, I cant remember if the OEM shifter did the same.

did you mark the shifter cables before you took the stock shifter out?

No i didn't mark the cables I only had to take out the one with the black connector. I put it back on so there was around 3/8s of cable showing.

I dont have any problems with reverse, but I have a problem getting it into 5th the shifter moves to far to the right and wont go in gear, I have to wiggle it around a little bit and it will go in gear, I didnt take either of the clips of I just popped the shifter out of the clip and left it in the car.

Which bolt? The one that goes though the lockout into the shifter or the top one?
