Torque damper source of slip?
I took off my damper to have my clutch looked at by the dealership. I got on it once or twice from a dig and the clutch grabbed pretty violently, as it should.
Is my logic correct: By using this, the engine does not move as much on the mounts, and thus more power is going through the tranny instead of it being lost from movement. Of course the violent grabbing may be the engine bouncing off the mounts, but regardless I'm still not getting slippage without it on there. Any thoughts?
I forgot how smooth the car was before I put that thing on. My gf always tells me I can't drive because between shifts it jerks a little usually. With it off it feels like a CVT transmission; you don't even know you're shifting.
