Transmission Ringing Noise (While Driving)
I tried to do some research/reading and couldn't find much.
My transmission makes a slight yet noticeable sound while driving. The best way to describe it, is almost like a loose chain sound. Around 3k rpm's (second gear) and let off and it will hop a little hard and you can really hear it.
Any ideas? Is this completely normal?
I thought I read somewhere it was the syncros going bad, and somewhere else it was normal. Just looking for some opinions or experiences please.
Thanks

I've noticed mine ringing a little under slight load on the highway. You may want to try changing the fluid. I haven't changed my fluid in a good 20k miles, and I drive it pretty hard. It's probably due for a change.
Also try pushing in the clutch to see if the noise remains.

One says clutch, one says tranny. Which one is it most likely?
