1. Pop the plastic top off that has the shift pattern on it (You'll probably break the clips that hold it on but don't worry about it)

2. remove the screw that's under there

3. put two screw drivers (one on each side) between the reverse lock out lever and the shift knob and pry up...It should come right off.

A lot of people have trouble with the adjustment part of it. I wonder how many members are running around with no reverse lockout or some fucked up shift pattern cause they don't know how to adjust it lol

this installation is not bad its just that the instructions suck!!! they leave out little stuff that will make the installation soo much easier if it were just there!!

are you talking about that fat white ring that goes around the pivot ball? in that case, yes you have to re-use it.

mark your the shift cable right at the end of the gray shifter linkage clip, that way when you put it back on, you shouldn't have to adjust anything.

yea its almost impossible to take off because a white piece of hard clear plastic is in the way so i can't slide it off. maybe i should cut it out?? but it doesn't look like its mean to be taken off?? does it really matter if i rip that off?

i know it's for hurst, but it really helped me. very clear, and since the shifters are nearly identical...

just smack it with a rubber mallet, it'll come off, it's just on there good.

you have to remove the reverse lockout **** from the stock shifter first. that's hard to get off, but it will come off.

if you look at that clear piece under the ball in that picture...that is what is in the way of me popping off that pivot cup...i'm having trouble getting around that..

yeah, look down at the front edge of the seat, on the floor, that piece has to come off, then it's easy

otherwise it won't come off, you have to get the stock reverse lockout part off.
